In less than 24 hours the U.S. will impose new COVID-19 travel requirements on international travellers flying into the country, and there’s no exception for Canadians. There are no changes to the requirements to cross the border by land, but as Sean O’Shea reports, border towns say the uncertainty is hurting business.

Incoming Canadian citizens and permanent residents are also facing complications upon their return at land border crossings due to issues stemming from the ArriveCAN app. But as Brittany Rosen reports, it’s not only impacting leisure travellers, but essential workers as well.

Floodwaters have receded in Abbotsford, B.C., but the true extent of the damage is becoming clear. Many people have lost nearly everything and as Mike Drolet explains, that includes possessions that have been in families for generations.

And, rescuers continue to search for survivors a day after the highest volcano on Java island in Indonesia erupted with fury, killing at least 14 people. Mike Armstrong has details.

Advocates are calling for better support to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic’s impacts on mental health after a study found older Canadians are more likely to experience symptoms of depression. As Ross Lord explains, not enough people have access to the mental health care they need.
